Cumberland County Senior AIDES Reception

The Cumberland County Senior AIDES Program celebrated Older Americans Month with a reception in Fayetteville, North Carolina held on May 31, 2005.

Marshall B. Pitts, Mayor of Fayetteville, Catherine Van Sickle, the reception’s guest speaker and Executive Director of the Cumberland County Coordinating Council on Older Adults, as well as several other county officials attended this event.

In addition to the reading of several proclamations, one participant was honored as Cumberland County’s Oldest Worker and two as the county's Most Outstanding Older Workers.

The honorees were Agnes Bundy, who won the Oldest Worker honor, and Sarah Covington and Carolyn Hodges who were both honored as the county’s Most Outstanding Older Workers.
