DC Seniors are Aging Well, Celebrating Well at Health Expo
"Exercising Well," "Serving Well," "Saluting our Troops Well," and "Learning to Quilt Well" — these were just a few creative ways in which D.C. seniors tailored this year's Older Americans Month theme, "Aging Well, Living Well," to fit their own unique interests.
On May 6, Mayor Anthony Williams, the Office on Aging, the D.C. Senior Citizens Clearinghouse, and the Office on Aging Senior Service Network presented their 40th Annual Senior Citizens' Day and Health Expo, held this year at the D.C. Armory. Hundreds of seniors turned out for a day full of free health screenings, health and wellness exhibits, fitness demonstrations, line dancing, music, live entertainment and lunch.
