Minneapolis Youth Learn From Seniors During Older Americans Month

Older Americans Month serves as a time to learn about seniors and to celebrate their knowledge and contributions to communities. East Side Neighborhood Service in Minneapolis , Minn. took advantage of the occasion to invite youths from the nearby Menlo Alternative High School to meet with Senior Aides for an intergenerational learning experience. From May 11 to 12 a total of 13 students met with the seniors to hear about their experiences. Each student received a gold and silver ribbon as a reminder of the month.
