Sponsors Line Up to Support Seniors in Action Day

The Urban League of Westchester County in White Plains , N.Y. joined the New York City Department of Aging for their Seniors in Action Day on May 12 to celebrate Older Americans Month. The event attracted 10,000 seniors for a free, day-long festival at Flushing Meadows, Corona Park , recognizing the talents and accomplishments of older New Yorkers. Senior Aides at the event had a great opportunity to visit with sponsors at their information booths to inquire about employment opportunities. Sponsors included Health First Medicare Plan, Aetna Senior Living Group, United Healthcare, the NYPD, Snapple, J.P. Morgan Chase and Verizon.
