Project Director Patti Madigan and the staff of the Baltimore County Department of Aging hosted a Senior Expo attracting crowds of senior job seekers throughout the area. Co-sponsored by the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce and Maryland State Job Service, the October event invited employers such as Sears, Adecco Employment Services and Johns Hopkins University to talk with seniors about career and part-time opportunities.

The Expo included entertainment ranging from local high school jazz groups to karaoke to square dancing, as well as an appearance from Ms. Maryland Senior. Along with the entertainment, advance publicity for the event and an informational website (www.seniorexpoonline.com) helped to spread the word and make this event a huge success.
