Eppel, executive director of the Baltimore County Department of Aging, urged this week in testimony at a 'feedback' session of a Congressional subcommittee reviewing the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) as part of the reauthorization of the Older Americans Act.
SSAI leader testifies on value of SCSEP
Leaders of three national SCSEP grantees, including SSAI’s Tony Sarmiento, testified before a Senate subcommittee considering reauthorization of Title V of the Older Americans Act. Their testimony followed that of Mason Bishop, who articulated changes proposed by the Department of Labor.
Additional testimony surrounding reauthorization of Title V was heard by the U.S. Senate Special Subcommittee on Aging.
